Uh, where can I buy this book, Clancy? I'd like to send copies to two friends of mine...

Be careful, you might never hear from them again! In the best way possible.

Not a problem.

Read this three times and it hit different every read. So much with so little! Great work!

Clever stuff, Clancy. A slow smile crept across my face as I read.

This description pops:

"The book is a tome, manufactured in modern bindings and materials but with no hint as to its genre or contents, ill-fitted to its time in the simplicity of its design—a gold hardcover with no jacket, black serif lettering imprinted on the front: THE HALCYONIUM."

Thanks Nathan! I'd love so badly to hold a physical copy of this book, haha. There's something about hardcovers with no jacket...

Thanks for reading Keith! I’m quite surprised on the positive feedback for this one. This sort of thing isn’t usual my niche, but it was so fun to write!

I think you did an excellent job — I enjoyed it. I also love when authors do different things: I read bluebird (I think that’s the name) and really loved that one too, so yeah - keep up the branching out. I have plans to start your novel very soon, just trying to finish up a few other Substack novels lol there’s so much good content on here

There really is great fiction. Always glad to have someone trust my stuff enough to start the novel, that’s so great to hear. Thanks again Keith.

I'm hooked! What's the story? Will this be as series? Are all the authors mentioned at the top contributing?

Just a little story from me, it's part of a larger event called The Substack Zone -- all the links at the top are to different Substack Zone stories by fiction authors on Substack!

The situation grabbed my attention from the beginning. Your skillful development tugged me along to a truly Twilight Zone ending reflecting spiritual wisdom: peace is found within. So true.

How wonderful! This made me shiver a little, and smile, and wish for the golden book…a lovely story straight from the realms of fairy tale. I feel entirely wistful…

I’m glad Liz!! Maybe we will find a gold book of our own one day. Or write it ourselves.
